HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Many years ago, two young sisters answered a call for teachers to staff a secondary school in Tanzania. After their tour of duty, the sisters kept in touch with many of their students, and now some
of those students are qualified and experienced teachers.

OUR MISSION NOW

SAFEGUARDING. It’s of paramount importance that children and staff can operate in a safe environment, and that
children are safe on their
journeys to and from school. First, we need to secure the school site with perimeter fencing, but we need your help.

ABOUT US

Jitegemee School Building Project is a charity registered in the United Kingdom and USA.

The object of the charity is to advance the education in
Tanzania by the building of a school.

WAS IT NECESSARY?

60% of the population in
Tanzania is under sixteen years of age. Many children attend school, but there is a shortage of quality teachers and well resourced schools.
